    ExxonMobil (XOM -2.2%) is studying the possibility of exporting natural gas from the U.S. Gulf Coast and Canada, CEO Rex Tillerson says. Dismissing critics who contend exports would raise the price of domestic natural gas, Tillerson says nat gas exports will create jobs, increase tax revenues and help the U.S. trade balance.

  • This is a natural (no pun intended). It appears that the U.S. now has a commodity that is abundant to our country, and we should take advantage of the opportunity to export same. Making money for stock holders, and providing work to countless many who will send natural gas on it's way to world markets.

  • My concern is that he will tax the export of LNG to death and tax any profits for the stockholders and companies. His new taxation on incoming Chinese solar panels a prime example of protectionism which may be turned on us.
