We're clearly culturally exhausted. Our screenwriters have no imagination and are going back into comic books to try to find something to write about. That is, something that's already been written. Then we use CGI to turn humans into comic book characters.

It seems to me we are turning to fantasy because we don't have the moral power to face what is going on today -- and, of course, the studios want fantasy because fantasy SELLS.

This shows how materialism beggars true culture.
