    A country-by-country map of the world's most popular social networks reveals Facebook (FB) to be dominant in most of the Americas and Europe, as well as much of the Middle East, South Asia, and East Asia. But Tencent's (TCEHY.PK) Qzone leads in China, where Facebook is banned, and Odnoklassniki is tops in Russia. As Facebook's U.S. and European growth slows, many of its new users are coming from emerging markets that are proving tough to monetize.

  • That is the major problem with many of the new media/social network companies. Expenses aren't in any way tied to revenues. In fact, it appears that $FB is heading towards attracting the least appealing consumers of all such as Emerging Markets.

    Most business/power users are using Twitter a ton more than FB.
