    JetBlue Airways (JBLU -3%) slides after posting slightly weaker than anticipated May traffic results. Traffic in May increased 7.4% Y/Y, on a capacity increase of just 4.6%.

  • The airline posts almost unattainable load factors and far exceeds its capacity growth and this is characterized as "weaker than anticipated"? The additional 3-4 percent loading is gigantic since it all goes straight to profit on top of YOY revenue increases. Every other airline is cutting capacity while JBLU adds. Even Southwest (LUV) is stalled at just over 700 aircraft. These characterizations seem put out by the same people that have a gigantic 20% short interest on JBLU.
