Thursday, June 14, 2012, 2:00 PM ETSome stats from a Mashable infographic about photography: 44% of all U.S. photos are now taken with cell phones; over 4x as many photos were taken in 2011 (380B) as in 2000 (86B); and the 140B photos stored by Facebook (FB) easily dwarf the number stored by Photobucket (10B), Picasa (7B), and Flickr (YHOO - 6B), as well as Instagram's 400M. That kind of dominance is a big reason why the FTC is concerned about Facebook's purchase of Instagram.
