The number of global mobile Internet users will exceed the number of desktop users by 2014, claims comScore in a new report, as mobile web usage (heavily driven by Android phones) surges in emerging markets with limited PC Web adoption. The report also notes LinkedIn's (LNKD) U.S. unique visitors rose 67% Y/Y in May, while Facebook's (FB - previous) only rose 4% due to a sky-high penetration rate. 87% of the world's Internet users are now outside the U.S., with 41% in Asia-Pac.
