    AOL will be shutting down resume-posting site Emurse, which has struggled to compete with LinkedIn (LNKD) and other rivals, as of July 15. AOL, which just fought off an attempt by Starboard Value to win 5 board seats, is trying to streamline its money-losing online media ops. The company shut down social media sharing client Brizzly in March, and is conducting major layoffs at its Patch local news unit.
