Tuesday, June 19, 2012, 12:59 PM ETAs part of its Project Moonshot initiative to build the kind of cheap, dense, energy-efficient servers increasingly used to deliver Internet/cloud services, H-P (HPQ) introduces a server system called Gemini. Unlike traditional standalone servers, Gemini uses a combination of "server cartridges" containing low-power Intel (INTC) "Centerton" Atom CPUs, and shared networking, storage, and power/cooling resources. Project Moonshot will also feature ARM-based (ARMH) CPUs. (ZDNet)
