Thursday, June 21, 2012, 11:59 AM ETFitch assigns an 'A' rating to Caterpillar's (CAT -1.3%) proposed $1.5B in senior unsecured notes and says the outlook is stable. Fitch isn't too troubled by a rise in Caterpillar's debt/EBITDA leverage, saying that it's likely to fall in the future as "solid demand for machines and power systems contributes to earnings and free cash flow."
