Data pulled from iPhone prototypes indicates the next iPhone will contain an NFC chip, 9to5 Mac reports. If true (some of 9to5 Mac's prior scoops haven't panned out), that would suggest Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) plans to make a mobile payments push in tandem with the next iPhone's launch. The recent introduction of Apple's Passbook app, together with the company's enormous credit-card database, has already led to speculation in this direction.
