The move, which coincides with Red Hat announcing pricing for a cloud app development platform, demonstrates how the company is trying to create an app infrastructure platform on top of its mainstay Linux software ... and thereby compete more directly with SAP archrival Oracle (ORCL), as well as VMware (VMW).
