    Amazon (AMZN) will start to collect sales tax in Texas this weekend in what marks the first step as its new role as a tax collector in states where the company doesn't maintain a physical presence. The crucial question over whether or not Amazon will lose its edge with consumers from its long-time pricing advantage will now be played out.

    I live in Texas and I will not as much from Amazon anymore, I will trade with companies direct where I do not have to pay taxes or shipping.

    You can be assured that if Obama gets another term there will be a National Sales Tax on all internet purchases guaranteed that a percent will go to Fed purse and percent to go to States.
    16 trillion in debt, fees, etc. will sky rocket in every possible way

    Why would Congress be against it (taxing www stores)?

    It seems like this is a win-win proposition for every constituency!
