The bear camp calls the group a momentum bubble, while bulls see a paradigm shift in how consumers view the health benefits of premium bedding. Though Tempur-Pedic set an early downbeat tone for FY12, analysts say that if summer sales numbers can buck a weak overall consumer trend - without massive discounting and promotional costs that is - names such as Sealy (ZZ), Mattress Firm (MFRM), Select Comfort (SCSS), and Tempur Pedic (TPX) could recover ground.
