Thursday, June 28, 2012, 4:57 PM ETChip equipment maker Ultratech (UTEK) has acquired patents from IBM related to a variety of chip manufacturing and packaging technologies for an undisclosed sum. IBM has become more active in trying to monetize its giant patent portfolio as of late. The company sold 750 patents to Facebook in March, and over 2K patents to Google last year.
