Working late into the Brussels night, European leaders agree in principle on €120B in stimulus measures (tipped a week ago), says EC President Van Rompuy. Italy's Monti and Spain's Rajoy initially blocked the deal, demanding first that action be taken to lower their countries' interest rates. Thus far, there's no concrete word on anything regarding that.

  • Obama can control it in a variety of ways such as relaxing fiscal policy and so on. If Ben Bernanke so wishes to keep another term QE is always a solution. These are just examples. It has been shown there is a clear stock market patterns during election years. They also vary on whether it is a democrat or republican.

  • So how did those election patterns work out in 2000-01 and 2008-09?

  • 2008-09 doesn't count the President was not trying to be reelected. I don't think anyone could have helped that. Same as in 2000-01 i think you are referring to bill clinton end of term
