    EA's just-announced $50/year premium service for Battlefield 3 may be a sign of things to come. Noting his company already offers a $25/year service for EA Sports games, exec Frank Gibeau claims EA is looking for ways to offer subscription services for other titles. With sales of console games themselves remaining in the doldrums, an aggressive subscription push has some logic to it. Activision (ATVI) boasts over 2M subs for the paid version of its Call of Duty Elite service.
