    "The tablet will become the quasi-console, quasi-controller of this generation," declares Lazard's Atul Bagga. He notes current tablet games, many of which are blown-up versions of smartphone games, are merely scratching the surface of what the hardware can deliver. Today, Amazon (AMZN) introduced its GameCircle social gaming platform for the Kindle Fire. But for now, the iPad (AAPL), which offers the very similar Game Center, rules the roost in terms of developer support. (also)

  • Games? Apple doesn't have a chance at this. Besides the desktop gaming and console gaming markets Apple is barely in, there's this now:

  • I don't understand why Apple doesn't release a 1st party game controller. An iPad + controller + AirPlay on a big screen would be huuuuuuge and would reshape the video game industry.
