Friday, July 13, 2012, 6:45 PM ETBaidu (BIDU) is forming a Chinese mobile content distribution JV with NTT DoCoMo (DCM). DoCoMo is investing $22.5M to obtain a 20% stake in the JV, whose first offerings will be games and related services from Japanese developer DeNA. A JV between Baidu and Japan's Rakuten recently unraveled, and the company's international moves generally haven't gone well. But the DoCoMo tie-up does play into Baidu's efforts to build a strong mobile developer ecosystem.
