While some analysts are warning Apple (AAPL +0.7%) could report soft June quarter iPhone sales on July 24, Piper's Gene Munster believes a relatively healthy 28M-29M iPhones were sold in FQ3. Munster does expect Apple to guide for just 24M iPhone sales for FQ4, but thinks this is baked in. Cowen's Matthew Hoffman, who was right about FQ2 sales, is going out on a limb and predicting 5M next-gen iPhones will be sold in FQ4, allowing total sales to remain around 28M-29M.
