I would not trust anything this guys comes out with....his job is to make a market ...to make commissions...he needs to hype the market up to sell houses...that is all

Confidence is not something the mouthpieces for NAHB or the realtor groups are ever lacking. Facts are another story sometimes, but "confidence" they have in buckets.

It was down more than that before the news hit, hence the "pop" to down 0.8% (not sure where your 1% is coming from).
