Wednesday, July 18, 2012, 11:18 AM ETA backdoor play on investing in housing and banking, according to Josh Brown, Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.B) is handily beating the S&P YTD, and with far lower volatility. More than one-fifth of Buffett's portfolio is invested in Wells Fargo (WFC), which pretty much owns the mortgage market, and don't forget a long list of Berkshire subsidiaries tied to homebuilding or remodeling.

This is what it will take to get our economy moving again.
First we must clear out the fire sales on properties in default that negatively impact the values of all others (appraisers must include short sales and other distress sales as market value comps). One City tore down a whole block of empty foreclosed residences as a
documented positive economic value move.
Government playing financial bail out and legal/policy games (at tax payer expense) delaying the full crash and road to recovery has the market artificially effected with "shadow inventories" still undetermined.
If the free market were left to its own resolve, I believe we would have quickly known where we were, started over and would be on a clearly measurable road of recovery by now.
The quickest way to a "recovery" now in my opinion is to replace our government leadership with those that understand U.S.A. and business fundamentals (like anti-big government, taxation without (proper) representation and not spending more than you earn). Add a dose of
old school Import Duties and Tarriffs to protect American Jobs.

I do not support Communism or Socialist philosophies, nor wish to dismantle the foundations of the U.S.A. including the Constitution and Declaration of Independence. I am open minded to allow those that wish to live under C or S to move to those countries that already have those systems well in place. Most of our ancestors had to cross an entire ocean to escape other governments to create the U.S.A.. Lord please help us come November.
