Vodafone received a $4.5B special dividend last year related to its 45% stake in Verizon Wireless. The remarks come as Verizon Wireless wins accolades for its strong Q2 performance. The carrier's postpaid ARPU of $56.13 (+3.7% Y/Y) beat a consensus of $55.82, and postpaid net adds of 888K beat a consensus of 724K.
