    The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration opens an investigation into Jeep Grand Cherokee SUVs over leaking power steering fluid hoses, saying it has reports of two fires in Grand Cherokees since May. In addition, the agency notes it's also opening preliminary investigations into Dodge Ram 1500 trucks over reported rear wheel failures. (FIATY.PK -4.5%)

    Many new cars have electric power steering. It increases gas mileage and reduces belt wear slightly because the PS Pump and fluid reservor have been designed out.
