I have graduate degrees from both sides of this fence. I worked harder in some of the online classes than I ever did in the traditional classroom. And, as a faculty, I'm well aware of the pay policies, as I have also taught in both. I am my colleagues have given Ds and Fs and do hold students accountable. Your comments may apply to some schools but not to all. To lump them together is wrong. Faculty, like the schools fall under the Bell curve like cyclists and another other group. Some are exceptional and some are awful. And a vast majority in between work very hard to be the best they can be.
