    U.S. tire makers Goodyear (GT +5.2%) and Cooper (CTB +5%) are big gainers, driven by France's Michelin, which reaffirms its 2012 financial targets after posting 37% H1 growth in its local earnings; volumes were down, but pricing was higher. Drivers apparently are still buying new tires even if they may not be buying new cars as readily as before.

    Not letting Chinese tires in sure helps the bottom line. The hell with consumers. LOL People are so gullible.

    Goodyear will pioneer the use of Soy Bean oil in tires and Cooper Tire and more big tire manufactures will soon follow. This will be the best thing to happen in tire business since the radial tire. I predict Goodyear shares will rise pass the 14 dollar per share by the middle of August and by December will be in the low 20's.
