After looking at Samsung's (SSNLF.PK) Q2 report, IDC estimates the company shipped 50.2M smartphones in Q2. That's good for a 32.6%. share, nearly twice what Samsung had last year. The iPhone's (AAPL) share fell 190 bps Y/Y to 16.9%, and Nokia's (NOK) tumbled to a mere 6.6%. #5 ZTE's share nearly tripled to 5.2%. In spite of worries about slowing growth, global smartphone sales are believed to have risen 42.1% Y/Y to 153.9M units; that's nearly in-line with Q1's 42.5%.
