Though many are hoping Marissa Mayer's arrival will lead to Yahoo (YHOO) getting a needed talent infusion, some execs have left in recent weeks, fed up with the constant turmoil at a company that has seen 4 CEOs in the last 12 months. Among them are infrastructure VP Adam Bechtel and senior product manager Jonathan Katzman. However, Mayer has managed to poach her first Google employee, PR staffer Anne Espiritu.

  • Good fortune to Marissa; I use their Finance section daily.
They screwed up my email that I established over 20 years ago and I'm sorry for that; but Gmail was better and I left a long time thereafter.

  • Out with the old - in with the new. There were a lot of noses put out of joint when Marissa Mayer got the job. Now it's time for her to get on with it.

  • while some of the execs who left were innocent, except for Mr Levinsohn, they were not effective under inept leaders and dysfunctional board, so maybe they deserve a fresh start elsewhere. It should be mutually beneficial - and may even contribute to their future employers. But a bit of cleaning out the cobweb doesn't hurt $YHOO

  • I think it's normal for some senior management to leave. They should be replaced by "her" people. In order to make big changes she needs people who trust her judgement. Her decisions might be controversial and require the support of all senior management in order to push them through. So it's all good.
