Tuesday, August 7, 2012, 4:24 AM ETNYSE Euronext (NYX) is in discussions with the SEC over accusations it breached a rule that bans an exchange from disseminating data on a private data feed more quickly than on public feeds. NYSE Euronext doesn't expect any settlement to be material. The negotiations come as the SEC is increasing its scrutiny on the effect of high-speed trading on markets, for which these information feeds are crucial.
