Some mobile stats: 1) IDC estimates Android (GOOG) made up 68.2% of Q2 smartphone shipments. This compares with 16.9% for the iPhone (AAPL), and sub-5% shares for free-falling BlackBerry (RIMM) and Symbian (NOK). Windows Phone only had a 3.5% share, but that's up 120 bps Y/Y. 2) Analysys believes the iPad controlled 73% of the Chinese tablet market in Q2. That might sound high given the iPad's high-end pricing, but it's in-line with survey data. (Strategy Analytics) (Canalys)
