Nokia (NOK) agrees to sell its Qt software ops, which it obtained with the acquistition of Norway's Trolltech in 2008, to Finnish IT services company Digia. Financial terms weren't disclosed, but analysts reckon the price was well below the $150M that Nokia paid for Trolltech.

  • I don't see it. Selling it for a loss, for what purpose other than to raise cash, which means they are burning their cash reserves faster than anticipated perhaps?

  • Good move. Digia will take on developing Qt further to cover iOS, Android and what most important to Nokia, also WP8. Excellent news!
