Companies have reportedly seen a "flood of resumes" from Zynga (ZNGA) developers looking to leave. Meanwhile, those inside the company describe morale as "grim" and "anxious." An anonymous Zynga employee recently described a culture of long workweeks, broken promises, office politics, and no innovation. With employee discontent predating Zynga's IPO, equity grants might not be enough to prevent a huge brain drain in the face of a crashing stock price.

  • Just wait for the tsunami of resumes from Facebook. I hear the CFO is knocking on doors of bankers in Wall Street, hat in hand, begging them to buy stock to prevent a post lockup collapse. If I was a banker, I'd tell him, let Zuckerberg ask me in person, instead of sending a minion. And that he better be wearing a tail coat, top hat and carrying a tightly rolled umbrella.

  • The game developers have already made swiss cheese of the youth of this country with their retarded games. Parents have forgotten to actually play with kids or have conversations with them because either the idiot box is on or waste of time game consoles. Zynga, EA, and the like couldn't fail fast enough

  • It is indeed a sad sign of the times that parents have too many easy options to deposit their children in front of a telly/games console. However it's the children that need re-educating and all the while there are companies like Zynga in existence this is not going to happen. The worst thing about Zynga is that the company lacks any sort of barriers to entry. Let's hope the ' brain drain ' takes these developers to more responsible employers.
