GM is recalling over 38K Chevrolet Impala cars sold to police departments in the U.S. and Canada after discovering that a part in the front suspension in models from years 2008-2012 can crack and cause a crash. GM doesn't know of any accidents that occurred because of the problem. Impalas sold to the public use different parts and are not affected.
