    United Continental (UAL) says it's expedited contract negotiations for joint collective bargaining agreements with the International Association of Machinists, representing fleet service employees, passenger service employees and various other work groups. The parties have agreed to a bargaining process and timeline which is designed to achieve joint collective agreements before year-end.

  • The "merger" of Continental and United made no sense. It took the best US airline (Continental) and merged it with the worst (United) and created an airline that seems bent on finding ways to screw things up and ruin the passenger/airline relationship that Continental nurtured over the years. Previous Continental CEO's (Gordon and Larry) would never have agreed to this merger. I hope Jeff wakes up soon before the stock hits bottom.
