This economy is like pulling a band-aid off a wound slowly - I agree, let's let things go bad so we can all recover. The government has been successful at only one thing here - prolonging the pain.

We all know how to fix this....

That's what "W" should have done instead of lowering taxes .
His advisors didn't want any kind of economic slowdown that would endanger getting "W" getting re-elected. Party first- Country and its people maybe second, after that.

Sorry - I like the lower taxes and spending reduction strategy. It's a proven winner... for everyone, everytime.

And, all politicians are pretty much the same.... still looking for an honest one.
