    "It kind of forces you to buy low and sell high," says UBS financial advisor Ron Vinder, who relies almost solely on ETFs for client portfolios and rebalances once a year - shedding the best performers and buying the underachievers. "The more asset classes you introduce into a portfolio, the less risk and the better the return you'll have over a long period of time."

  • Smart reversion to the mean strategy.
    Works as long as reversion works, which means most of the time.
    Big danger is shedding winners at the outset of a runaway bull run and loading up on losers while they are on their way to annihilation...
