Sunday, August 26, 2012, 5:38 AM ETFDA staff are skeptical that Abbott's (ABT) Humira drug, which is already cleared for rheumatoid arthritis, is effective in treating ulcerative colitis in patients who don't respond to conventional medicines. Although two trials of Humira met the studies' goals, on Friday the FDA questioned the "clinical meaningfulness" of the results. An advisory panel is due to meet on Tuesday.
