United Airlines' (UAL) website is back online after a "network outage" issue affected its operations at airports and its website. At 4:30 ET, the FAA issued a ground-stop for all United (including Express) flights destined to Newark or San Francisco, two of United's hubs. The airline has been struggling with computer issues ever since it combined some of its major computer systems in March.

  • I am a United retiree who sent ual an email in early Jan. And waited until the end of July to get a confirmation that they had received it but they still have not answered my question, just forwarded to a supervisor. I doubt I'll ever get an answer from the new regime. Their new policy is to ignore the problem and it will go away. Keep up the good work Jeff.
