Friday, August 31, 2012, 5:53 AM ETThe votes against Glencore's (GLCNF.PK) $70B merger with Xstrata (XSRAY.PK) pile up, with investment fund Knight Vinke, which owns 0.51% in Xstrata, joining Qatar Holding (12.3%) in saying it will oppose the deal unless the terms are improved. Schroder (1%) yesterday said it will vote against as well, while Norway's NBIM (2.97%) also wants better terms. Opponents only need 16% to scupper the merger.
