i get regularly pelted with buns for saying it, but i firmly believe that the us's outlawing of private gold ownership figured in german hyperinflation, through german americans having their german relatives buy and deposit gold for them in switzerland. the usd goes back to the us, the dm goes to a bullion bank and the gold gets put on the shelf. one of you youngsters can try and float a doctorate on that. much more solid than trickle down.
