Wednesday, September 5, 2012, 7:46 AM ETAmerican Airlines (AAMRQ.PK) and United Continental (UAL) will face a trial over property damage to the World Trade Center buildings after a judge in New York ruled that he couldn't determine if insurance payments covered the damages that World Trade Center Properties LLC is seeking. In a court filing, the carriers are alleged to have been negligent during the terrorist incident.

If there are limitations and exclusions as per the policy , I would think think that's where the crux of this is , although it far too tragic an occurrence to view this solely and to the final determination of the insurance company's take.
This judge is being dismissive of his responsibilities and , under the circumstances of the event that he is being so easily dismissive, would render him unconscionable and almost morally bankrupt , IMHO, based on the news byte supplied here.
Must be alot more to this than meets the eye initially.
pilots contract with the judge on the other side of town! Oh well, live by the sword, die by the sword.
As usual, management refused to install armored doors despite the Airline Pilot Associations attempts to have this done.
However, CEO compensation climbed exponentially during this same period of time.
Let WTC have their day in court. UAL and AMR will have their $2,000/hour legal, but it just wont help. A United Pilot.
