Wednesday, September 5, 2012, 3:28 PM ETBNSF Railway, owned by Berkshire Hathaway (BRK.A, BRK.B), is just the latest railroad to plan to increase capacity to haul oil from the Bakken shale, enabling operators in the Williston basin to transport an extra 1M bbl/day of production from North Dakota and Montana. BNSF now expects to carry 89M barrels of oil out of Bakken this year, vs. 1.3M in 2008.
