NBC's (CMCSA) plan to challenge the dominance of ESPN in sports viewership could take a hit if a labor dispute in hockey isn't resolved before the season is scheduled to begin. • While hockey is a great sport, in my opinion, to think that carrying NHL games will lead to challenging ESPN is outrageous. Why does NBC think ESPN doesn't carry hockey games? The popularity is not there to make it profittable. I know this much and I am a hockey fan!
Good luck with this idea, NBC, you are going to need it.
