The summertime blues extend to the weekend after Labor Day for the movie industry, as no movie grossed over $10M and early estimates place the industry's box office haul as the worst since 2003. In particular, family films and late-night showings still haven't fully bounced back from early summer levels.

  • Hollywood continually puts out crappy, unoriginal, family unfriendly movies, and theaters charge an arm and a leg to go see them (even if you don't eat any of the overpriced stuff from the snack bar), and yet, Hollywood seems puzzled and surprised when people don't turn up in droves to see its movies. Not only that, but people now have all sorts of other easier and cheaper options for entertainment. Yeah, it's a real mystery.

  • When you mix religion with politics and military like in 2016 you are asking for trouble. Movies were meant to be entertaining and informative not persuasive, narrow-minded and offensive to certain parts of the population.
They should have a new rating of NPC for not politically correct.

  • The money that used to go to a night out at the movies is going into the gas tank. Now sit home and watch DVDs.
