After rating AMD (AMD +2.6%) a Sell for 5 1/2 years (a smart call), Goldman is upgrading shares to Neutral on a belief expectations have fallen enough. Though still considering Intel better-positioned in the high-end CPU market, Goldman thinks AMD shares could be "flat or up" over the next 6 months, given the absence of near-term catalysts, a successful debt restructuring, and the value of the company's graphics processor business.
