Bank of New York Mellon (BK) has been winning victories in lawsuits it's facing from state and local pension funds over the alleged overcharging of clients on currency trades. Since March, judges have dismissed entirely or in part suits from Californian municipalities and Virginia, saying that the evidence isn't strong enough. Still, the plaintiffs plan to refile, and the bank faces several other lawsuits.
