This is a result of only stimulating the top 1% of America: Corporate earnings and debt guarantees.

we ain't got no jobs, free trade made us terribly non-self-sufficient.

but i guess, who needs a job when you got food stamps and unlimited unemployment checks, subsidized housing, soon, free healthcare, get to put 3.5% down for a house and then get $8k back and then get to live in that house for 2 years for free as you wait for bank to foreclose on you.

all is fine until "something happens"

Consumer confidence numbers reflect our confidence in our crony government. Until the bums are thrown out in November there isn't much to be looking forward to..... The American people know they've been sold out and only the bureaucrats, politicians, and financial elite are benefiting from our current situation.
