Tuesday, September 11, 2012, 12:18 PM ETNordstrom (JWN -0.3%) launches British brands Topshop and Topman at select stores across the country and through online channels. Slowly but surely the company has been replacing old Sears stores at malls across the U.S. pitting it in some cases directly against J.C. Penney (JCP +1.4%). The battle looks likely to leave only one clear winner with both department stores now offering similar features such as mobile checkout and new fashion lines inspired by runway trends and street fashion.
