    ShopperTrak forecasts retail holiday traffic will rise this year for the first time since 2007 with shopping trends looking positive. The data firm sees U.S. retail sales up 3.3% Y/Y and foot traffic gaining 2.8% for the holiday period.

  • Holidays sales are going to be great. Private jobs growth continues, savings rate is up, disposable income rising pretty nicely.....everything points to a huge beat in holiday sales.

  • Really? My disposable income is materially lower than it was last year, and I'm personally familiar with many people who've seen their unemployment benefits expire, yet can't find even a minimum wage job.

    Perhaps the recovery passed my region by (northern NV).
