Thursday, September 13, 2012, 9:38 AM ETChinese firms will play a larger role than initially expected in the $2.5B Texas Clean Energy Project that will seek to generate cleaner electricity from coal. The state-owned Export-Import Bank of China will be the plant's sole lender, and Sinopec (SNP) will manage construction of a critical portion of the plant. The project is in line to receive $450M in U.S. government assistance.
