Thursday, September 13, 2012, 11:23 AM ETThe FDA issues a warning that some consumers have reported receiving serious skin injuries while using certain over-the-counter mild muscle and joint pain relievers containing the active ingredients menthol, methyl salicylate and capsaicin. 43 reported cases of burns have been reported, with the injuries ranging from mild to severe chemical burns. Some of the products named include Sanofi's (SNY -0.1%) Icy Hot and Johnson & Johnson's (JNJ +0.7%) Bengay, among others.
